Stupidity at the Supermarket, Part II

The cash registers at stores make change for the cashiers so they don't have to know how to add, subtract, divide, or multiply.

(There is a whole separate rant on that subject, which I will save for another time.)

But what math tools do they provide for the people who make up the weekly circulars?

It is two dollars each if you save the full one dollar. $5 - $1 = 4.

Actually, what the ad means is that generally it is $3 each and by buying 2 at $5, you would save $1 over the normal price.
