My Pi Does NOT Have the Swine Flu

My Pi has been feeing under the weather for the past few days.

I thought for sure it was the swine flu because

1. He has most of the symptoms

2. He recently visited a primitive neighboring foreign county with inferior health care - Canada.

and

3. There have been several swine flu cases in the local community:

According to www.mycentraljersey.com,

“Health officials on Thursday confirmed the first three cases of swine flu in Middlesex County, including two involving students from a private school in Piscataway … The school, which health officials did not identify, has been closed since Friday, May 22, and will remain closed until Monday, June 1, Middlesex County Health Director David A. Papi said in a statement. ”

But the ace reporters from mycentraljersey did not stop there. With a little further digging they determined that:

“Officials from the Timothy Christian School and the Diocese of Metuchen, which operates St. Francis Cabrini and Our Lady of Fatima schools in Piscataway, said the cases were not at their respective institutions. Likewise, representatives from the Lake Nelson Seventh-Day Adventist School, the Little Children-God Pre-school and the An-Noor Academy all said the cases were not at their schools, which were open.

However, no one at YST could be reached for comment. No one answered the telephone at the girls' school, but a telephone recording at the boys' school, said: "The boys' school has not had issues with the flu, and we therefore will be having regular sessions. However, we have asked all boys whose sisters have had the flu to remain home. We've also asked anyone whose sons have any symptoms at all to please keep them home and contact us right away."

(Once I heard this report, my throat started hurting immediately. Psychosomatic, I'm sure.)

According to my Pi, YST is probably is trying to keep this whole thing quiet because it could potentially interfere with future shidduchim. Can you imagine the repercussions - pigs - heimesha school - shidduch? I don't think so!

But my Pi has bronchitis, not the swine flu. At least according to Dr G at HP Medical during his first available appointment at 3:20pm (I could be dead by then!) on Monday.

However, I'm still keeping a close eye on my Pi, just in case he starts oinking.

Update:

It was announced where my Pi works that there was one case of the swine flu among the company employees. No name was given.

Then yesterday, my Pi was talking to someone who had seen him (when he was quite sick)last Thursday. This person asked, "Do you mind if I ask you a personal question? Were you the one who had swine flu?"

So it wasn't just me who thought my Pi had the swine flu.
