Solar Eclipse!

Partial Solar Eclipse coming this Monday!

The last major partial solar eclipse in NJ was on May 10, 1994*. About 84% of the sun was eclipsed.  

I took the boys out of school and we went to the American Museum of Natural History / Hayden Planetarium in Manhattan.

We were interviewed by Fox national news. (Busted!)

Bald Eagle in Johnson River Park!!!

Saw this bald eagle in Johnson Park this morning around 9am!!!!!!!! I didn't even know we had them in this part of NJ. What a way to start my day!

Took the pictures with extreme zoom (80x magnification) which goes from optical to digital after 20x, which is why they are so fuzzy.

The eagle was near the pond which near the "zoo".

Also, some may have a sign that says, "Do not flush sanitary napkins"

But these were ridiculous
