The last major partial solar eclipse in NJ was on May 10, 1994*. About 84% of the sun was eclipsed.
I took the boys out of school and we went to the American Museum of Natural History / Hayden Planetarium in Manhattan.
We were interviewed by Fox national news. (Busted!)

It was actually May 10, 1994. That makes more sense regarding how young the boys look.
