Imagine our surprise a week ago when we drove from PA into NJ on route 78 and there was no “Welcome to NJ” sign!
We particularly noticed this because we were coming home from a 2,000+ mile drive to South Carolina, and having taken photos of all the “Welcome To Our State” signs, thought it would be cute to bag a shot of the NJ sign for the end of our vacation photo album. Oh well.
Now in our case it really wasn’t necessary to welcome my husband and me to NJ, after all we live here in Edison. However, given the amount of revenue tourism brings into NJ, I would recommend putting up a sign on route 78 and all NJ borders to make incoming tourists feel that NJ really cares about them.
If by some chance, there is usually a sign in that location but it had just been knocked down by a passing truck, and a replacement sign put up this week, please disregard this message.
