Hear What People are Saying About Loud Bicycle
A while back I was an early poster on a new Kickstarter project, Loud Bicycle.
Now, a month later, congratulations to Loud Bicycle for achieving 110% of it's fundraising goal with 4 days still to go!
If you were planning to order one, but just haven’t gotten around to it yet, now would be a good time!
"Like many successful inventions, Lansey’s was borne of necessity"
"It
might just save your life"
“Surely some
engineering student here in Boston
can develop a car horn for a bike,” we said, and agreed that’d be a rather
brilliant idea. Thankfully, Jonathan Lansey already had it."
Huffington Post
"A bicycle hooter as
loud as a car horn has hit Kickstarter in the latest tech innovation designed
to increase the safety of cycling"
Bike Lane Living
"The Loud Bicycle is
here, finally"
"Why hasn't somebody
already invented this? That’s the hallmark of a great idea"
"The creator of this
takes my tiny bike bell to the next level times 10. The Kickstarter project
lets you pledge as little as $1 to fund production of what I think is a great
idea"
LaughingSquid
"The Loud
Bicycle Horn is a bike horn that gets the attention of nearby motorists"
UrbanVelo
"Engineer Jonathan
Lansley has created the Loud Bicycle car horn for cyclists"
Confetti
"From May to
November, I witnessed several bicycle accidents simply because the car driver
didn’t see or hear the cyclist. So, when I saw this project, I
couldn’t help but smile and back it up with a few dollars!"
Bread Bike
"The first bike horn
to talk about is the “Loud Bicycle” by Jonathan Lansey .This is great."
Materialicious
"The Loud Bicycle
horn prevents accidents"
Gear Junkie
"Would you mount a
horn on your bike? That’s the proposition from a Boston-based startup, Loud
Bicycle"
Most Wanted Today
"Boston-based
startup, Loud Bicycle, has designed a mountable car horn for your bicycle"

Handsome Guy in the Backyard!
I've seen this handsome guy (gal?) in the backyard several times, usually running through. When my camera is nowhere in sight of course.
This time however he was out for a stroll and my camera was at hand.
He stopped to pose.
Nice bushy tail.

I Never Thought Ice Cream Could Be Made Unappetizing
I was clearing off some of the clutter on my desk today and I came across this coupon:
Maybe they'll do another one for Christmas?

What if Your Home Appliances Joined a Labor Union?
I see all kinds of interesting things on my way to work.
Was sitting in traffic and kept passing and getting passed by this truck and noticed the advert on the back.
Couldn't figure out what the tag line "Crown Boiler - Designed to Lead," was supposed to mean. Couldn’t think of a leadership role for my hot water boiler. Thought maybe I was missing something.
So I thought along the lines of the movie "Chicken Run" where chickens, lead by Mel Gibson (before Mel Gibson became so unsavory,) hatch an escape plan to avoid landing in hot water, but then I realized that that was Broiler not Boiler.

Next thought. So maybe they are bragging about their ability
to add the element lead (Pb, Atomic
Number: 82) to the water? Could be...
Or maybe their hot water boilers do assume a leadership role among home appliances when we are not there (think Toy Story). Like organizing an Appliance Labor Union - "Lower Electric Rates for All!", "More Time Off", "Better Working Conditions", "We Want Out of the Basement", etc.
When the time comes, remember I own the movie rights, not Crown Boiler. And I don't want Mel Gibson to have a part.
